Peace Day at Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny nr 3 im.Jana Pawła II (Poland)

At John Paul II School in Rybnik the celebrations of Peace Day took place during the assembly. All the teachers and students gathered together and prayed for the peace in the world. They were recollecting the meeting which John Paul II organised in Assisi, Italy in 1986, 1993 and 2002.  In all there were 160 religious leaders spending the day together with fasting and praying to their God or Gods for the peace. In our prayers we mentioned particularly our neigbouring country - the Ukraine and the country - The Central African Republic. Every year our students organise charity actions to help the children living there in education. The situation there is really bad these days. They need Peace.

30th of January: PEACE DAY at Holy Trinity School.

At Holy Trinity School they celebrated PEACE DAY during a morning assembly with the whole school students and stuff. They reflexed about PEACE with these presentations.

30th of January: PEACE DAY at Colegio San Gregorio.

We have celebrated this day in the whole school in different ways and along the whole week. Here you have some examples about what we did.

On Monday we start the week with a lesson to reflex about certain aspect which make PEACE difficult in our world. Here you have two examples about what we did in this lesson. As a final product we had to write a manifiesto.

Also all the students were together in the church to have a special celebration about PEACE DAY. Here you can watch the video about this moment.

Today we also had an assembly at the beggining of the school day in which all the Primary School student were in the Hall and we sang songs about peace.

Christmas videoconference with the partners of the project.

On the 19th of December Holy Trinity Pewley Down School of Guildford, England and Colegio San Gregorio of Aguilar de Campoo, Spain linked up through a Google+ Hangout.

During the videoconference we sang Christmas Carols in English and in Spanish. It was a really exciting experience for all the students.

20th November: International Day of the Rights of the Child (Holy Trinity Down School)

After a week talking about the Declaration of the Rights of the Child from the United Nations of 1959, this is the final product with all the students talking the different rights.
