Quality Label from the Spanish National Agency

During the summer holidays San Gregorio have received good news because they have got the Quality Label from their National Agency to our e-Twinning Project: "Celebrating Together"

They valued the coordination through the three schools, the evaluation of the project and the obtained results. They also considered the experience was a success.

The National Agency recommended to us to improve our activities of interaction and communication among the different schools and students.

23rd of April: World Book's Day at Colegio San Gregorio.

As a part of our e-Twinning Project: "Celebrating together" this year we have included a new activity in our Project: "English Speaking Countries". This year students had to look for a traditional story of an English Speaking Country: TRADITIONAL STORIES TASK.

Survey about the project for students.

With the following questionare we want you to let us know your opinion about the etwinning project we have done during the whole school year.

A week at Holy Trinity School by Students of San Gregorio.

The week from the 24th to the 28 of March 10 students from Colegio San Gregorio went for a week to the Holy Trinity Pewley Down School in Guildford, England. We spent time at school and some lessons. We did some sightseeing and we lived with host families.

After the Spanish student's trip to Guildford from the 24th to the 28th of March we had a meeting with a journalist from the DIARIO PALENTINO. We told her everything about our trip and this was the final article she published on Sunday the 13th of April.

8th of March: International Woman's Day at Colegio San Gregorio (Aguilar de Campoo)

As a part of our e-Twinning project we also celebrate the International Woman's Day at San Gregorio. This day we also have Our Open House Day, so our classes were decorated with woman silhouettes dressed depending on the concrete topic of the class (journalist, related with health, inmigrants, related with music....)

And also we were working at English lessons about woman. We turned ourselves into SPORT JOURNALIST and we were talking about FAMOUS SPORTWOMEN. Here you can see how our teachers told us about the activity in their blogs.

30th of January: PEACE DAY at Colegio San Gregorio.

We have celebrated this day in the whole school in different ways and along the whole week. Here you have some examples about what we did.

On Monday we start the week with a lesson to reflex about certain aspect which make PEACE difficult in our world. Here you have two examples about what we did in this lesson. As a final product we had to write a manifiesto.

Also all the students were together in the church to have a special celebration about PEACE DAY. Here you can watch the video about this moment.

Today we also had an assembly at the beggining of the school day in which all the Primary School student were in the Hall and we sang songs about peace.

Christmas videoconference with the partners of the project.

On the 19th of December Holy Trinity Pewley Down School of Guildford, England and Colegio San Gregorio of Aguilar de Campoo, Spain linked up through a Google+ Hangout.

During the videoconference we sang Christmas Carols in English and in Spanish. It was a really exciting experience for all the students.

20th of November: International Day of the Rights of the Child. (Colegio San Gregorio)

On the 20th of November the two classes of Year five were celebrating the International Day of the Rights of the Child. This activity was a part from our e-Twinning Project. The two English teachers prepare some information and an activity for us to learn and enjoy. Let's look what they did on their blogs.

e-Twinning Label.

This is the e-Twinning Label the National Agencies have sent to us to certify the three european schools are working together. 

World Food Day (16th of October) at San Gregorio School (Aguilar de Campoo, Spain).

As a second activty of our project we celebrated  on the 16th of October, THE WORLD FOOD DAY. We did two different activities:

• With the PE teacher students told about the idea of a Healthy Diet with some activities from the Science book. 

Year 5A and their PE teacher Julián also talked about HEALTHY DIETS on a Google Drive Document and they answered if  the have to change anything from their diets.

• Both classes Year 5 A and B did a food collection to give all the food to Caritas (a Spanish NGO which helps to the local people with need). In this video you can watch the process.
