World Food Day (16th of October) at San Gregorio School (Aguilar de Campoo, Spain).

As a second activty of our project we celebrated  on the 16th of October, THE WORLD FOOD DAY. We did two different activities:

  • With the PE teacher students told about the idea of a Healthy Diet with some activities from the Science book.

Year 5A and their PE teacher Julián also talked about HEALTHY DIETS on a Google Drive Document and they answered if  the have to change anything from their diets.

  • Both classes Year 5 A and B did a food collection to give all the food to Caritas (a Spanish NGO which helps to the local people with need). In this video you can watch the process.

World Food Day (16th October) at HTPD in Guildford (England)

Year 6 have designed a healthy cereal as part of their Amazon topic.  It had to have an Amazon theme, a catchy title, slogans and eye catching packaging.  The main thing, however, was it had to be healthy.

Year 6 learned why it is important to have a good meal to start the day, without too much sugar - like most breakfast cereals aimed at children! They made their cereal box, made up slogans and created and ate their cereal from ingredients they had planned as a group.  It was a great team effort.

HERE YOU HAVE SOME PHOTOS:

In the following video you can watch how the students explain and talk about my their final products.
